Our client needed to simplify their sales processes – a multinational online retail network, selling online over 19 mln pharma products from over 3500 suppliers.

Our client needed to modernize their selling platform by removing the manual and tedious steps labs are forced to deal with when researching, purchasing, and tracking lab supplies available for scientists on their marketplace platform.

Simply, the goal was to increase sales through transparent product and process information.

They had an idea of how to do it but needed IT expertise to make the shift successful.

Our Approach

We were responsible for implementing the project together with our client as one team in Agile Project Management Model. Our role was to reflect the client’s requirements in a smoothly running business platform (marketplace), supporting the achievement of the client’s business goals. The scope of our support included:

  • Working with huge data amounts and data models to implement online product catalogs and seamless data processing
  • Integrations with third-party suppliers (identification, authorization, business processes, etc.)
  • Designing a user-friendly interface (with all cooperation steps presented in a simple yet informative manner)
  • Adjusting components and extensions of the platform to potential future business needs
  • Introduction of new platform features and functionalities
  • Preparation of new QA and test strategy
  • Bugfixing

Outcomes

The effect of our cooperation is a fully modernized marketplace platform with a seamless order process, real-time pricing updates and consolidated invoicing and payment.

Modern user interface, modern design and transparent cooperation process (fully tested) help our client become a leading marketplace for science companies, reaching new cooperation partners to sell their products through our client’s platform.
